The Fort McMurray Professional Baseball Group is committed to bringing quality baseball entertainment and building a franchise for the community, despite the announcement from the Edmonton Capitals Baseball Club earlier today. Over the last few weeks we have received great feedback from the community, which is very encouraging and shows the level of support in Fort McMurray.

In the early morning hours of Feb. 16, Wood Buffalo RCMP seized varying quantities of drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons and Canadian currency, as part of a vehicle stop conducted in the Gregoire area of Fort McMurray.

Conklin man charged for assaulting RCMP
Charges have been laid in relation to the shooting that occurred in Conklin last month. On Feb. 10, Wood Buffalo RCMP charged 33-year-old Ray Charles Pruden of Conklin, with several offences including Assault on a
Police Officer with a weapon, as well as firearms related offenses. The accused has been released from custody and is to appear in court on March 7.

RCMP, teen injured in incident
At approximately 3:14 p.m. on Feb. 11, three plain-clothes members of the Wood Buffalo RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) located and attempted to stop a stolen vehicle at the intersection of Hospital Street and
the off ramp of Highway 63 in Fort McMurray. There were three male youths in the stolen vehicle at the time.
