Ghost Rider goes up in flames

When I mentioned at the dinner table Sunday that I was going to go review the movie Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance, my niece Nikki replied: “I don’t like Nicolas Cage...I think he is kind of creepy.”
Well, it seems a lot of other people, namely movie critics, have the same opinion as they are blowing smoke at this Marvel comic character Johnny Blaze...a bounty hunter of evil souls to whom we were introduced to on the silver screen with Ghost Rider in 2007.
Film too dumbed down for audiences

One thing I cannot handle is dumbed down movies.
Case in point, the spy thriller Safe House, starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds.

Thank goodness they scrapped the idea of shooting the horror-thriller The Woman in Black in 3D.

When Jaws came out in 1975 it seemed that everyone was scared to go into the water…be it the ocean, sea, lake, river and even, as farfetched as it sounds, the bathtub.
Shark attack was the film frenzy of the moment. Massive size sharks eating up hapless human swimmers like minnows.
Yet in reality, statistics show that the chances of getting attacked by a shark when swimming off of the beach are one in 11.5 million and the chances of getting gobbled up one in 264.1 million.

George Lucas may you please stick to what you do best: Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
The last time Lucas, in the role of executive producer, had a silver screen bomb like his current showing of Red Tails, was way back in 1986 with Howard the Duck.
